Cloned app with data but no comments or activity get transferred

Hiya

I am slightly frustrated as I have large 2000 items inside one app. As the service is growing, I decided the workspace needed to be split into 2 workspaces - for simplicity reasons and also for GDPR reasons. 

However upon cloning the apps with data, it does not copy across the activity and comments along with it. So, an item that was created 2 years ago and it is an ongoing case - all the comments, useful data in comments section and date/time of activities that occurred within that item - it is all gone. It is still there in the historial app in the original workspace which I have archived but I am most disappointed that this is not a true cloning operation because not everything goes over when cloning.
