Yes, this does help with some use cases. Thank you.

A much bigger need for us is to have user viewing permissions on the app level so we don't have to create new workspaces to keep data private; which often causes additional structual complexity.

I wholeheartedly agree with Jeremy. Restricting viewer permissions would be huge for us, especially because we work with outside sales reps. Trying to limit visibility on private data is a constant battle. This is a step in the right direction though.

Thank you for your feedback Jeremy Jelley and Ryan Hebert. Refining permissions and sharing is definitely something on our radar!

Agreed. Ability to restrict viewing on a APP level for both Workspace or Guest users is a very very much needed

As part of user restriction/access management, ability to manage user's access to workspace from workspace management or user management without having to go into each workspace and add user would really benefit all and save huge amount of admin time.

    Hi Shahriar Khan

Thank you for asking these questions. Beyond what Sumedha mentioned, you have restrictions at the application level and our guide for that is here - App settings – Podio Help Centre

In addition, there are limits you can impose based on member roles. You can find out more information about that here - Member roles in workspaces – Podio Help Centre

Hope these help you get you where you need to be !

    Take care and stay safe,

    Dana / Podio

Implement VIEW restrictions on Apps inside the workspace so we don't have to create 200 different workspaces and garble data why is this not the #1 feature already?

I love this improvement but I also agree user permissions/restrictions on induvial apps is the primary issue that needs to be resolved.

agree 100% w Jeremy - getting too complicated when there is no APP restrictions, have to copy apps and data all the time making the structure messy and hard to control in the Long run. please solve this soonest.

I also agree that it would be huge to limit individual users to only be able to see certain things or change certain fields, etc. We have staff in two countries and, as you can imagine, a lot of the data is only relevant to half the staff and can create security challenges. At the moment, we simply don't allow our out of country staff to access podio, but this creates a TON of duplicative work as they have to upload all their data to other platforms that we then have to re-enter into podio. It would be amazing if they could log-in and only access the specific spaces that are relevant to them!

    Dear Podio users,

Thankyou for your overwhelming feedback on this. What I am taking back to the team with this discussion is the ability to share only Apps or only Views will be a great addition for our customers! We will take this feedback and work on prioritising this feature better.

    Thanks,

    Sumedha

This has been the down fall for Podio. a user can see all the info in a work space. We only want sale reps to see their leads not the whole team. its pain having so many work space so they dont see all the data
