Listing below few of the important changes as they start reflecting on the product.

Attached is an illustration of a label change within Podio apps. When you click the wrench icon for a Podio app, you are displayed with a list of actions.

    • This list contained "Manage workflows" options which redirected you to the workflows page within Podio. This has been renamed to "Workflows"
    • This section also contained the "Manage in GlobiFlow" button that redirected you to manage the workflows of the app on GlobiFlow. This button has now been replaced with another list entry "Workflow automation"

More information about domain updates have been recorded here. Keep the below cheatsheet handy for tracking the changes.

    Good to read. Congrats.

Still I have the feeling that Podio and ol' GlobiFlow get outdated day by day. We still use it but started to look for alternatives, cause it doesn't develop fast enough for internet needs. Old issues are still not solved like laggy und unreliable calculation fields, still no retina support on old Globiflow and still mobile unfriendly design with laggy drag and drop with user unfriendly developer design. Also there is no App in the App Store for "Citrix Podio Globi Flow Automation" and also the Podio App is absolutly useless cause of Markdown in Text instead of plain html.

Hopefully you will talk to a very very good branding agency in the future cause there are identity and focus problems to solve, that can't wait any more.

But still I love Podio. Hopefully it gets to 2020 fast.

I agree with Jan Richter. Podio and Globiflow are very very powerful tools and we truly love both! But like Jan says they are getting outdated day by day without any major updates. Your recent hosting change has, indeed, reduced the delays, but we havent seen any new feature updates except the ProcScript integration that Andreas released a few weeks ago and the interface is getting slower and slower.

Personally I would prefer that you guys dont invest your money and energy into branding and domains but rather invest and focus on improving the capabilities and features of the Workflows. When it comes down to it a name and a logo is just a name and a logo, not mentioning that most people here are totally fine with the name Globiflow.

In the end your existing customers prefer to have a better automation environment than a better name and logo.

I dont know if other people agree, but at least that is my opinion.

Why "Citrix Podio Workflow Automation" it should be just "Podio Automation" subdomain could be https://automation.podio.com

"Podio Workflow Automation" subdomain could be https://workflow.podio.com

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if Citrix has a plan to make an open road map available for its HUGE customer base for the rollouts in the future?

    https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/201017403-A-more-open-roadmap-for-Podio

Seeing as there are many competitors in this space, who almost all of them, have open road maps for their customers to look forward to, I think it would be very beneficial for Citrix to engage and excite both their customer and fan base.

    Thanks

Very disappointing to see logo changes making up one third of your release notes.

The community has been screaming out for improvements for years, to no avail. With so many other great tools out there, the temptation to move away from Podio gets stronger each month. Just have a look at ClickUp: they publish release notes 10 times larger than this every week.

    https://docs.clickup.com/en/collections/318963-clickupdates-release-notes

Give ClickUp 6 months and I think they'll have a very compelling product worth switching for...

What functionalities will be gained or lost during and after the transition?

    Will code be affected?

Will we need to recode or will Citrix automate scripts and create permanent redirects?

What will happen to the Globiflow domain after transition?

Will any flows or account integrations like Rightsignature get affected?

GlobiFlow emails will come from a new email domain ? What domain ? can we get notified as to what this will be. What does reply@globiflow.com change to ?

Today PDF Creator V2 was promoted without leaving further informations on how to update pdfs. Every Pdf is a mess now. After building a complex system we're struggling now not only with the pressure of corona but also with a broken system. That thing kills it completely.

Citrix needs to line up Podio with GlobiFlow

These are 2 immensely different companies in one company. GlobiFlow is developers building a place for developers versus Podio that is trying to become a tool brand for endusers like Dropbox. You're not pulling on one string with one goal.

I suggest you to take back the V1 to V2 switch till you manage to have very good enduser tutorials for this switch like Webflow provides.

    Forum seems to agree: https://podio.com/podiomail/podioflow-users/apps/release-log/items/105

This update is a symptom of the problem above. With updates like these I feel not understood as the enduser. My pain is that I'm not a developer. Podio sais that it's the right tool for me as a nondeveloper. But then I need to pay a developer to keep my system running.

Why do you planed Podio Workflow Automation be like a third party service. Podio Workflow Automation must be included right into the Podio. Not like a third party service.

Rigth now Globiflow's look and feel is not integrated with Podio at all. gobiflow's UX/UI should be as like as Podio. So Podio Workflow Automation must be included right into the Podio with Podio's UI/UX principal. Not like a third party service.

Techtunes: Thanks for sharing your thought. The name is a decision taken by Citrix brand team, where 'Citrix' refers to the company, 'Podio' refers to the product and 'workflow automation' refers to the feature within Podio. Most GlobiFlow users should already be aware of this name change, since this was shared about an year back. And you are bang on correct on the fact that GF should not be treated as a third party service. It is an integral part of Podio and this brand name change is a first step towards getting closer to the Podio and Citrix brand.

Jan Richter We hear you and we understand that Podio interface has scope for improvement. We are gradually working towards it. But based on your experience with Podio, am sure you would agree that there are a lot of advanced capabilities with Podio and its workflow automation (GlobiFlow) that will be irreplaceable.

Kamil Makowski Performance and stability of a system is very important and our team has been diligently working towards it, releasing optimisations, security upgrades and many more infrastructural enhancements to make our customers experience better day by day. Am glad you have noticed that the recent hosting change has indeed reduced the delays. Though this was just one release item, the work to make it happen was not meagre. And we continue working on similar upgrades to our system not only for workflow automation, but overall Podio.

Switching gears to why this name, logo and domain change is necessary:

    • It is not just a name and logo change, but an overall brand change that establishes the strategic importance of workflow automation for Podio and in turn, Citrix.
    • This is also a legal brand requirement as 'GlobiFlow' is no longer a part of Globi Corporation
    • GlobiFlow is no longer a 3rd party tool, so it needs to be seen as an integral part of Podio through this change.

Having said that, we respect all your love for Podio and hope to be able to increase our overall customer delight soon.

Matthew Byrne Happy to announce that Podio now supports native two-factor authentication. Check out more details in the related product news: Two-Step Verification to prevent unauthorised access

Adam Walsh: We will share more details on if and when any action would be required by users. This current news is to alert users that they would slowly start seeing the Podio workflow automation name more prevalent rather than GlobiFlow and so they should not be surprised.

Regarding the domain changes, again we will share more details, well in time before the release. But when we bring in the domain change, globiflow.com will be auto-redirected to the new domain to avoid any disruptions initially. So we expect a seamless transition.

Jayraj Berde: Again, if any integrations are expected to be affected or any action needed from users, we will let the news out well in advance. Keep following this news for more updates. The new email domain will also be shared before the release so users are notified and prepared for it.

James Nadua Am afraid, Citrix does not support open roadmaps, so I can't really help on that here. But we do have Beta customers who help us test out new features and also learn about upcoming features sooner in the run. If you would be interested in helping us test out new features before it is shipped to our entire user-base, will be happy to add you as a Beta user.

Hi Jan Richter, as we have reviewed the feedback from the community and Podio workflow user forum we decided to move deadline of the PDF move to new engine to December 1st - this should give you and other customers additional 2 months to review any PDFs required formatting updates. Thanks for providing us with guidance. It is also a great point that we need to make it easier to customize PDFs in the first place, we will take a look and see what we can do to help here in the future.

Matthew Byrne, great point - we are looking at those other enhancements as well.

Daniel Barnes - thanks for the support, we will do our best.

A "rebranding journey?"  Seriously?  How about native multi-factor authentication?  (The ShareFile up-sell is not realistic for existing customers.)  Podio seems stable enough to divert some attention to security.

    Dear users,

Please check out the updates on the branding changes posted in the official comment above. Also note, domain changes are being taken up slowly (with redirects wherever possible) to avoid disruption to your services.
