Hide Category Options

I would love to see the ability to hide category options instead of deleting them for long-term data retention.  Options would be "Hide if blank" or "Hide on new".

"Hide on blank" is simply to clean-up the app items a bit more for times when your category lists are very long and take up a lot of room, they are busy once the data has been entered.

"Hide on new" is for when you don't want to loose the history of what was selected in the past but you no longer need this option for all future app items.

  Hi Bethany,

  Another option would be to set the unwanted category field to "Always Hidden". This would hide the category field from all app items. I've attached a link below that will provide you with further information.

  I'm not talking about a category field itself but rather the actual answer options.  Hope that helps make the suggestion more concise.

  I think this would be helpful, as things change in a company, but you don't want to affect old items with each change.

  I was looking for this feature as well and tested a Category field with multiple values, selecting a test value in the field, and then deleting that value from the Category field (modify template). The test value still appears in items where it was selected prior to being deleted.
