Multiple and Customisable Calendar Views in Podio
Hi.
We currently use google calendar to keep track of event bookings but would really like to move away from this and just use Podios calendar. In it's current state Podios calendar is just not useful to us, and neither is the way that Podio syncs with google calendar, which means we have to manually enter data from podio in to our google calendar, which is far from ideal.
When you create a calendar view you if could choose a few parameters.
- The title that shows (the ability to concatenate fields would be great). ie: Booking title & estimated numbers
- The colour that shows for each item - This could be based on category colouring. ie: we have multiple locations that have an allocated color. Location 1 =Blue, Location 2 =Green, etc.
- What items shows up on the calendar - We have a category to say if the booking is confirmed. It would be great if you could select only bookings that have been confirmed to show on the calendar view.
- It would then be really useful if you could create multiple calendar views and save them with custom names, and have them easily accessible. ie: Confirmed Bookings Calendar, Non Confirmed Bookings Calendar.
I know this would be a pretty big job for the Podio team to do, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Hi Jude some of what you want is already available
Q. The title that shows (the ability to concatenate fields would be great). ie: Booking title & estimated numbers
A. You can concatenate fields simply create a calculated field and use @field1 + ", " + @field2 etc Make this the first field and it will show in your calendar items
Q. What items shows up on the calendar - We have a category to say if the booking is confirmed. It would be great if you could select only bookings that have been confirmed to show on the calendar view.
Q. It would then be really useful if you could create multiple calendar views and save them with custom names, and have them easily accessible. ie: Confirmed Bookings Calendar, Non Confirmed Bookings Calendar.
A. both of these are possible. See image, use the filter and save the view

Hi Kent,
Thanks for the reply.
1. Yes we do already use a concatenated field, but I loath having to add unnecessary clutter to Podio.
2. This does kind of work, but not the way I want it to. I'd like to be able to just click one button to view any one of a few calendar views. What would be perfect would be a check boxes for selected field categories which you could show or hide with one click when viewing a calendar.
The biggest one for us is actually being able to colour the item in the Podio calendar. If we could do this, we could work around the other issues and start using Podio calendar.
