Need help in Calculation of two fields

There are two Apps.

• TimeSpentByClient
• MaxTimeClient

MaxTimeClient is used for creating summary records from TimeSpentByClient.

Desired values of calculated fields in MaxTimeClients

TimeSpentHours Calculation :

Client1 has reported working hours in Aug-2016(08/2016) = 3+2+1 = 6

Client1 has reported working hours in Jul-2016(07/2016) = 6

Client2 has reported working hours in  Aug-2016(08/2016) = 7

HoursFree Calculation

Client1 Aug-2016 free hours =  30 - 6 =24

client1 Jul-2016 free hours = 10 - 6 = 4

client2 Aug-2016 free hours = 15 - 7 = 8

  Hi nealpatil,

  why is the relationship field in MaxTimeClient and not in TimeSpentByClient? Do you link every TimeSpentByClient-item manually to the MaxTimeClient? Do you have only 1 item per client and do manually update the fields MaxHours and MonthNumber every month for every client or do you create a new item for each client every month (with values for this month).

  Thanks for reply.

   

  I do not want to link every TimeSpentByClient-item manually to the MaxTimeClient.

  So keeping relationship in TimeSpentByClient should avoid manual linking problem.

   

  I will be manually updating MaxHours and MonthNumber for each client because they would be different for each client.
