New user: Workflows - New item created?
Hi guys,
2nd posting on these forums, and hope someone can help me understand the workflow setups.
I've setup a workspace (Incoming Calls) to monitor a google voice account. At present the GV calls appear inside my app, as soon as they're received - excellent. What I'd like to do is to setup a workflow which will alert me either on my iPhone (I have the Podio App installed on that), or via email on my MacBook.
I'm "guessing" that when i setup my workflow, I'll need to use the "Incoming Call Created" option, rather than the "Incoming Calls Updated" option?
Next I've left the " . . and if" field empty.
In the "Then" field, I've created a Task 0 the task is setup as follows:
- Title - "Notify Me of incoming calls"
- Assign to: (Chose myself in the drop-down box)
- Due: Date of Call
- Details: New Incoming call
- Name your workflow: New incoming call
I save it and test by calling my Google Voice number - but it doesn't work. I can see the workflow in the right-hand pane & also at the bottom of the call in the app, but I'm not getting it through as an email to my MacBook?
Where am I going wrong?

Not quote sure what happened here, but we were testing the workflow, and I logged out and back in again, and it's all working as it should.
I did double check the setting you mention, and had all checkboxes checked - maybe that was the problem?

Is the new calls automatically created as an item in the app?
If yes, all you need to do is to ensure you are following the app and your email notifications are set to "everything I follow" - so you get an email when a new item is posted: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019968-Email-notifications
Then you should be notified automatically when a new item is created.
