Hi, I am trying to create a webform for employees to complete to request training.

Firstly, I would like for the employee to be able to select their line manager in the webform, and then secondly be able to route the request to the Line Manager via workflow.

I have set up the template to have a contact field for the Line Manager but when I test the webform it only gives a free text field for this.

Any help would be great! Thanks

  @Hannah If you set it up in the app with a category field instead, it will be possible to select in the webform.
  Great Idea about the contact field tho - keep the feedback coming :)

  Hi Oliver, great thanks - I've managed to get the list of line managers into the webform now.

  When I go to set up a workflow to set a task for the relevant line manager, I can't select that field as an option under 'Assign to'. Any advice?

  Hi Hannah,

  There wouldn't be a way to use a category field as a variable in a task assignee field. What you would do is create several workflows - one to trigger for each manager. You would need to use the advanced workflow tool for that type of trigger:

  It would say, each time an item is created in the app, and the category is [manager name], then assign a task to that manager.

  Does that make sense?
