Customisable User Interface
When will we be able to customise the user interface at the item level - I would really like to make some field views more user friendly for client use.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi Richard,
There are currently no plans for this in the immediate future but you make a good suggestion. Currently, you're able to customise an app's fields, however, this will affect all the items within the app and not just specific items, as you suggest.
Thanks for your feedback.

We don't need sophisticated customisability - providing a field with various graphical options would be enough just to break up the information on a page to make it more readable, especially for items with lots of fields displayed.
The "one size fits all" approach has the advantage of being simple but will slow down adoption by PODIO users' clients and external users

I think a good implementation of this would be as simple as adding the ability to have your information shown in 1 column or 2 columns.
I'm not a coder, but it seems that would be an easy way to add substantial options for customization to those that want it. This simple option would allow users to double the amount of data they see on the screen, and those that don't to keep it big and spaced out. Obviously there would be some fields, like "Map" for example, that could stay 1 column only.
These days most screens are wide (16:9) but Podio is setup to be very vertically oriented. I know our team would appreciate the ability to see more information on one screen without having to scroll.

You can take a look at this:

I find it very helpful to create a more user friendly view in the items.
