+1 As the OP said, when you have LOADS of fields, the forms can get pretty unruly.
Conditional Field Vision
It would be nice to have conditional vision of fields in an item. For instance, you have three categories, and certain fields show up if the first category is chosen and different fields when the second or third is chosen. I realize this is a feature that currently isn't offered but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch considering you already have "hide field if empty" and workflows.

+1 I could really use this feature to limit the view on web forms (in a relationship field) to items relevant only to the person filling out the form.
Agreed. Is there any update on this?
+1 We really need this! How difficult can it be? Fitst post is from July 22, 2015...
This is an important feature. Three years after the first request, I hope Podio reconsiders making positive changes to improve the product.
My department could also really, really use this.
Hypertext has had this since it was first envisioned back in the 1950s, and for good reason.
+1000 need ! when will it be available ?
+1 Any update?
I have been using Podio for about 3 years now. I have to say that in my opinion there has not been much improvement in the last year anymore. Looks like Citrix decided not to improve and invest but rather to keep billing existing clients. I have two companies right now deciding wether to switch to a paid plan or go with another solution and honestly, I cannot recommend PODIO at that point in time anymore. Really sad. I like the system a lot.
Thanks for your feedback. Citrix acquired GlobiFlow in 2017 and this year is really dedicated to improving the reliability and scalability of the platform with the increased usage and automation we see. You can read more about the focus areas for Podio for 2018 here: https://blog.podio.com/2018/01/10/2017-year-in-review/
There is no short-term plans to introduce conditional fields in Podio however you will be able to get this functionality in a webform using the Dynamic Forms offered by one of our partners: https://momentumtools.io/podio-forms

The last comment made by Simon doesn't gel with me at all. As a part of the user community I am happy to ask for things and advocate features that we might or might not get, but I am still an avid user and promoter of Podio. In the end it depends on how well you use it. We extend our Podio use through integrations with other tools, dashboards with cloud based tools and Apps and websites that we design in-house. The speed at which we are able to pivot in order to create new features and workout business logic in the calculation fields, is tremendous and unmatched from a no-code perspective. --- Using Podio everyday gives me a load of great ideas on how to grow the platform, however I am a dedicated user. Keep doing what you do Podio team.
I fully agree. I'm an Authorized Podio Partner and have about 50 Podio clients in many different industries all over the world, some have only 2 users, some several hundreds. They all like Podio for the reasons Faruq describes very aptly. All my clients are on a paid plan (with one exception on Premium or higher), even charitable organizations with very very small budgets cause they see the advantages of e.g using flows. They all know that it's worth to invest in productivity to save time and money. IMHO a free Podio account is only for a first testing phase not for working with it for years. Someone who is really interested to do his job in a serious way does the invest in productivity.
+1 That is a very useful feature request. It's hard to believe that conditional fields are not on your roadmap. Many of your competitors have this functionality as it is becoming a core feature for users that build their own apps. There definitely seems to be people asking for it based on the number of posts requesting this and the comments on this specific post. Hope you will reconsider for early 2019
3.5 years later.. Any updates for this VERY basic feature?
It seems I'm not alone in hoping for this feature but also appears Podio has not yet indicated any willingness to create it. Why is that? I also hope that changes soon!
Hey Donald Myers, hello everybody,
we are building an extension for chrome and firefox for this case. Are you still interested?
Anybody, who is interested in our extension for conditional field vision, write me an email to email@example.com.
I definitely need that feature in order to make the form flexible. I don't want to overwhelm my users with too many fields and options so they can enter the data fast.
