    Hey Ian,

Sorry to say that the functionality is no longer supported - we hope to add it back in a new improved version next year but I'm afraid I cannot promise exactly when this will happen.

You can still connect with Google Drive, Google Calendar etc.

Where did you find this link? I will make sure we remove it until the feature has been added back :)

Hi Sara - this was actually one of the main reasons we chose to go forward with Podio and really disappointing! For us it is important that our project management app is closely integrated to our daily work tools and Google mail plays a very central part. Now we have to copy paste mails from partners and externals into deliverables. Many of these do not wish to create an account in Podio and only communicate via mail. Why did you remove it?

The Google Apps functionality was actually only the option to create tasks from email via a small Gadget - but you can still do this in Podio. You can create a task via email if you hit the "Create a task from email" link in right side of your tasks page.

Here's how you forward emails to Podio in general (this is still possible) -
    https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201290603-Email-to-Item
    to an app: https://help.podio.com/entries/21714366-Email-to-app
    to a workspace: https://help.podio.com/entries/21945988-Email-to-workspace

The Gadget was based on the old part of Google's API so it wasn't working properly anymore. We will rather create a new updated version with even deeper integration to email than just the option to create a task.

We agree that this functionality is essential when collaborating with clients, partners etc.

    Hi Ian and Sara,

Just checked my Google gadget is active and it works fine. How can? I'm on Google apps for Business. Should indeed be sad if this feature is no longer supported but fortunately there is a good workaround.

    Hey Ron,

The Gadget still works for all existing installs but not for new installs. It will still work for you the next 6 months - but the support will not be continued further unless we manage to update the integration to the new API before then.

What's the status of the Google App Gmail Gadget integration? I use it on one of my GApps account and wanted to add Podio to my second GApps account but see it's no longer available.

The gmail gadget is one of the main reasons I want to use your system. Will you be bringing it back anytime soon?

Also, all present GApp applications without the new Auth2.0 will be discontinued by Google in April. Will your team be updating the existing GApp integration many people are using before then or will we just be out of luck in April?

Hey - the article is still up and I am sad to discover that the gmail integration isn't actually working. That's one of the things I am really missing in Podio - have been looking for a way to collaborate on shared inboxes.

Hi everyone! I'm a frequent user of this plug-in, and as of today it looks like it is now working at 100% again (including grabbing the attachments). Great news, thanks Podio!

@Anne, thanks for the update. Was definitely waiting for this. Just added the Podio gmail app to another business I run.
