API not Integrating with the new field level updating in a LIVE view situation

Not sure if this is a bug.
But if I have multiple users updating information it will magically appear
updated on other peoples screens if they are on the same record which is
COOL.

However if the API updates the same values they DO NOT magically appear
updated without a refresh.

Is this an oversight or on purpose and for what reason?

  This should work just fine. I just tested with both user and app authentication.
