Task Reminders: I want to pick my own date...?

For task reminders, I'm given a limited dropdown list that will only remind me of a due date from a few minutes before it's due to 1 day before it's due. Why can you not make this a calendar so I can pick the date I want to be reminded?

For example, I have a press release that's due to push over the wire on, say October 10th, for example. That's the task's deadline. I would like to set a reminder for October 1st to start writing this press release. I don't want to have to set up multiple tasks with milestone reminders when it's really just a single task. Know what I mean? Is there a way to do this? If not, can add it to your feature request list? Thanks!

  Nope I'm afraid not..

  The other way to do it could be to describe your task in an app item, then use the task to create the reminder (with task due date as the reminder due date) :)

  Ok, thanks. But I do hope to see this feature added. It's really important to be able to do this daily without having to accomplish it via a "workaround" that requires extra steps. Thanks!

  Hi Alina,

  We haven't made any changes to task reminders - currently it is still not possible to pick a custom date.
