    Hi Jacob.

i havent  tested it yet, but i am sure, you do it better than Podio does. on the other hand, i am very suprising that, users try to develop the app much more faster than the owner of the app.

Dear Podio guys, you have a great product but unfortunately, you just watch the improvements, you just watch inquires, etc. And now pls , stop watching and work a little bit more so that people dont need to do work of yours.

    thanks.

Have a look at http://cloud.itduzzit.com/ they have some good tools to write your own code including some pre-written calls that allows toy to pull information which could then be pushed to  webmerge.me to create PDF

Hi guys, thank you very much for your feedback. We have already started inviting you to the system and I am sure you'll get an invitation shortly. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of people requesting for an invitation less than a day since Podiadd went live.

We have been in a dialogue with Podio and unfortunately they cannot provide us with the API rate limit that we need. That is the reason for our invitation system and also the reason that we have to take out our well functioning backup solution for now. The solution will go through some changes.

We are proud developers and cannot risk our users getting blocked by Podio limitations before even trying out the system. Hope you understand the situation. Don't worry, we are looking into a solution so that we won't have to disappoint you :)

    Dear Podio team,

this subject is starting to irritate me as I have the feeling that you COULD easily add the functionality to print lists of items but that you do not WANT to offer this sort of service, and I do wonder why. As I stated earlier, this functionality would perfectly fit into Podios philosophy to make things/life easier, but the lack of it is a REAL pain for me and my team members. I am already a paying customer and would love to invite more people to different projects, but I don´t see the point why I should answer even more questions like "How can I print this list?". Thank you, Jacob, for your efforts, your site looks promising, but, honestly, this is something I expect Podio to offer themselves and nothing I would like to pay for in addition to what I pay already.

As I said: this is starting to really irritate me...

    Dear Podio,

Please please please consider to develop this - it would make life so much eaiser for my organization as well!!! Podioadd is ok - but for me it is not an option to get my whole organization to use a paralel system to print reports. It will simply confuse them.

The print function is highly needed in all our workspaces. Here are two out of many examples why the print function would make us very happy (and productive):

1: To be able to print an activity list for a meeting. E.g. the list of next weeks activities only showing the columns that we need. Right now this is done by handwriting posts from Podio on a piece of paper, because the excel export is to complicated and actually takes longer time when you also have to edit it (delete columns, format it as a table etc.).

2: To be able to print participant lists. We collect all our participants for our courses in Podio and we can easily make a report showing participants from one specific course. When the trainer goes to the training they would like to bring a printed participant list from Podio . Again they find Podio really easy to use but are not very familiar with excel... (and this is not possible with Podiadd)

We would be so happy to see this print function in Podio!

Maybe you can even tell us why it is not prioritized - maybe it is to difficult or complicated? Then we'll move on without it. It would just be nice to know the reason.

Best wishes and thank you for all the other really great Podio-functionalities!

Yes I looked at Podiadd, and it does work but is very basic.  I would like to have an app that enabled the construction of reports - moveable fields, different layouts (tables, headers /footers)  landscape / portrait, changing font sizes and styles.  Many other software systems have this functionality - so it is possible.  Its just a case of PODIO PLEASE get on with it.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for sharing all use-cases. I have shared those to our internal feedback list, this is very helpful. It is on our long 'wish list' of things we would like to do but we are also a small team and not able to prioritize everything at once. We really appreciate all the inputs and votes so keep them coming.

    Hey Sara,

if your teams is too small you can always give me a call, I will build a printable list feature for you, you wouldn´t even have to pay ;-)

Honestly: I see that your wish list is long, but why not start with the easy ones? I still wonder why this one takes that long! I am hesitating to invite a whole team just because of this missing feature that is nothing but a standard feature in almost any application.

Just tell them you are tired of writing these "keep them coming" replies, you can also point out that we are also a bit tired of them (sorry to sound so demanding, but this is really becoming annoying... Otherwise I am a very happy Podio customer)

As for the export to Excel, it does not even seem that I can export just my filtered data.  The last time I tried to export with filters enabled, Podio still exported all of the data from the app, so I had to repeat my sorting and filtering steps (as well as show/hide/arrange columns, etc.) to produce the report that I needed to send on.  I had already done all of this work inside Podio to create the view for myself.  Why I can't simply hit "Print" and funnel the output through a PDF "print driver" (I have Adobe Acrobat installed on my PC and all browsers seem to do this natively on the Mac) and get something that looks like what I see on the screen is a complete mystery to me.

My team is doing our very best to "lean in" to fully using and relying on Podio and for the most part it is working very well, but this missing feature is a serious problem for us at this point.  We are using Podio now to track inventory of regulated equipment and materials and we need to be able to produce inventory reports for managers and inspectors.  Inviting these individuals to our workspace is not an option - we need to be able to hand them a printed or PDF report.

Yeah, it is kind of strange that Podio is such a great solution and yet they leave off the simplest things. Why would someone not want to print off a list? Need to put my tin foil helmet on.

Hey I'm not sure if this was there before, but the tiles now have an option to print the report the tile was created from.
This easily can allow VIEWS to be turned into tiles and then printed... looks like Podio silently added this feature!

the only thing is it'd help to have all the fields present. so i guess this hasn't been fixed... maybe I totally made a fool of myself here. sorry for the let down guys. i get why this is called "printing reports(views)" disregard.

It is a very basic function that should be a part of any view.
