Calendar
The integrated calendar view is really poor. Having an iCal like view would be really important to us. We otherwise love podio. But that calendar view is just ridiculous. We need a weekly, daily or monthly overview at least. Take a look at Apple's iCal plese!
All the best,
Vinzenz

Here's our task/calendar wish list.
1) Better integration or sync options for external calendars (Exchange/Office365). Today the calendar in Podio, is not really a calendar, but more of a task list. If you complete a task, it disappears from the calendar synced to Exchange, which is not good for keeping your history.
2) The option to make tasks/events last more than 1 day. Today, tasks only have a due date/time, not a duration. If the task extends over several days, and you want that to show in the calendar, you have to add the task manually to all the dates (there's not even a copy funtion).
3) I definitely second the comments about weekly, daily, monthly etc. views. If Podio is to make more of a companion or perhaps even replacement for the current business tools we use, it simply has to grow better in handling employee time and tasks (also on mobile devices).
All this being said, we still love and support Podio and will continue using this great tool, as it evolves.

Come on Podio, anyone working with your platform knows that the weakest point is the calendar, it's simple, we need a detailed calendar (à la Google Calendar) where we can have an overview of the tasks given to users with a view per day/week/month.
For now, it's impossible to work with that, hence the need to still use something else. (I guess Google Calendar must be the most popular around still)

I agree with everything that has been said about improving the calendar. I tried to export to my Google Calendar, but all of my Podio calendars get copied over. You need to be able to toggle between layers of multiple calendars on a master calendar.
I am also looking for start dates and end dates for each task. Also, the ability to make copies of tasks would be very helpful too.

Hey Jerome,
Via an event app or any app with a date field that adds to the calendar. Learn more about event apps here:

If you set tasks with a due date they will also go to your calendar

The new re-design of the calendar is out: http://blog.podio.com/2013/09/10/calendar/
Hope you like it?

Hi Sara,
We used to work with the old calendar view a lot, because having an overview of all the tasks coming in the month was perfect for our organization. Though it's great that you improved the calendar for all the people who were asking for it, could you please put back the old calendar view somewhere? It would be quite appropriate in the tasks section. Like it is now, the task descriptions are unreadable on the weekly and monthly view, and all the task do not appear on the daily view.
Thanks a lot.

Hey Candice,
As we have already discussed a bit on Twitter, it is unfortunately not possible to bring back the old calendar view. We can only keep one calendar up to date and working and will therefore not provide the old version of the calendar.
However, we will definitely consider to look at the task page in the future to give you better overview of the tasks, thanks for sharing your experience and feedback :)

Hi Donald,
Did you try to color code your calendar events using the category field? Here is a guide:
