Web Hook URL

I created a web hook on an app with a url back to my server. When I click the "Verify" button n the app, I would except a request to be made to my url, however, I do not see a request made from Podio. I'm using a .NET WCF service. I can simply paste the url link in the browser and see a request this way but nothing ever comes from Podio. Any thoughts?

That should all you need to do... works for me with my PHP based hook...

In PHP if I have a syntax error my script won't run, but you probably don't have that problem if you are running compiled code... and of course if you have tested the raw url then it wouldn't be that...

And the URL is accessible from the outside world - no firewall in place?

Yes, it's just a bare bones url without security or a firewall that is accessible anywhere just for the purpose of testing. I can enter the url on my smart phone and get a response yet nothing when clicking the Verify button on the App Token/Hooks page.

Hi Bob,

What is the URL? It needs to be an HTTP(S) URL available on the public internet.

The Hook will do a POST request to the URL, not a GET request as happens when you open the URL in a browser. Most likely that is the reason it is not working.
