You will often want to use App Authentication this purpose. It allows you to authenticate as an app instead of a user. See more https://developers.podio.com/authentication/app_auth
Podio API for native Mobile apps - Security
We'd like to integrate Podio into a mobile app we are developing, however we are having a security question. Would we need to program the mobile app as a user in order to deliver and receive data? i.e. currently the app asks us to Login as a user and we can't find a way around that.
We would then populate the code with login credentials. However we have concerns over how secure that would be.
Any suggestions? We're taking the idea from the Podio website and others which utilize Podio to populate their websites with content. In essence using Podio database as a content management system.

Though it has been a while sine this question, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
We're looking into making the Podio app better all around we need your help to do this.
It would be a tremendous help if you could help us with developing the app by sharing your mobile use cases with these topics:
What kind of mobile devices do you use? And when are you using them?
To what extend do you use your mobile device for business / work purposes?
What else do you use on your phone?
How do you use Podio on mobile?
What is most important for you to access through the Podio app?
If you could have options to personalize your apps - what would this contain?
Thanks in advance for your help.
