Is it possible to add hooks on a workspace rather than an app?

I want to add a hook on task events for tasks that belong to the root workspace not an app. If it is possible can it be done using the web UI or does it have to be done using the API?

I'm sorry, but we don't support for web hooks for tasks. It is something we will consider adding, but it is not trivial as tasks can be quite global in nature (not tied to anything in particular) and our current web hooks are all tied to a specific app.

Actually I was just told that we support web hooks for tasks that are created on work spaces. It's a new feature in the API, so we haven't yet made it configurable from inside Podio. The good news is you can create and activate these hooks all via API.

Here is what the hooks for tasks are called:

Here is explained how to create and activate a web hook (notice the task web hooks has not yet been added to this tutorial article):

Thanks, I saw that and worked it out.

Are these hooks per workspace or per user? I would ideally like to create hooks on tasks that are workspace-wide but not require each user to login to create these hooks.

Never mind, it appears they are workspace-wide which is good for me.

Hi Michael

As you found out the hooks are for an entire workspace, but only covers non-private tasks.
