Master Data Table?

Is there a way to set up a master data table, so that the items can be referenced from different projects or workspaces?

 

Basically, is there a way to create a relational database, and then create a variety of projects and reports, both feeding and drawing from the database?

  I think I understand what Tonaya is saying and I echo this.  Data put in once and be used multiple times whenever and whenever possible...like a taxonomy?

  Use the App Reference field type. This can reference other apps/tables from other workspaces

  At the moment the App Reference only uses the first field. What if I'd like to use another field?

  Hey Andrea, 

  Then you'd have to get the field that you'd like to use as the first field of the app, thus making this the title of the item in that app. 

  So you can't "app field reference".

  This is something I am really interested in too - having set up multiple workspaces as the only way to have access control to some data (CRM type stuff - contacts leads etc), we really need to be able to then aggregate/consolidate from these wokspaces into a company wide view/report, and I'm trying to aoivd having to learn how to program again and use the API if at all possible! Is pretty simple data, but to date I can see no simple way of achieving this? Hope someone can help?
