Any plans to build an iPad app?

The site renders and works pretty well on iPad's Safari browser, but I was curious if you have plans to develop an iPad app.

The iPad app feels wonderful already!!! I Can't wait.
We use it on iPad's Safari, however with some of the latest Podio updates I can't do all the features such as something simple - select date and time for an event.
If I need to change it I have to go into the Podio App on my iPhone to make that change. Little things.... leading to greatness.

Sorry folks I'm a web guy I prefer the Podio webapp instead of the Native apps, it runs on my phone iIcan chose a browser, and the best of all is that I can open different tabs (tab per workspaces) instead of switching al the time.
I would love to see some local storage on the client side ;-)

I would also love to be a beta tester - I am currently writing my masters thesis in collaboration with my friend who lives on the other side of the country (we live in Iceland) and just about all of our note taking/sharing and communication (regarding the thesis) goes through Podio. (btw. I would also love to see some kind of IM integrated into Podio)

Well, I can say that we've used Podio long enough that our phones are just a teaser. Browser usage on our ipads is just that much more of a teaser. We are so close. An app would give Podio FULL control of actions, and ensure a purrfect experience. Integrations are becoming very common, and precision handling of data is I'm sure very important. Tabbed viewing is possible to build in the app, but we can see that other functionality may be there in it's place, like the slide away screens. We can't wait. BTW - sign me up as a beta user as well!

Instead of developing new apps, you folks need to make your existing Podio app work better. It needs far better work flow improvements. The list of enhancements needed is longer than my arm such as an auto incrementing ID field option. You can't imagine how cumbersome it is to use Podio with hundreds and hundreds of records and not having a default ID field with a unique number. The work around is to export to Excel and then import but that only works until you add the next record.
We need the option to Clone an app with it's data. We don't have that now.
We need the ability to see blank/empty fields when we do quick edits (right side of screen fly in rec fields) so we can quickly make edits to all fields. We can't do that now and have to either make full edits (a massive pain when you need to edit many records) or export to Excel again.
Creating filters need work: filter name auto fill in when we drop down the filters and make changes. We need the ability to freeze the filter list so we can drag our favorite filters to the top and have them stay there.
This is just an example of work flow enhancements we need badly. I don't need an iPad app. I need your main web application to have better work flow capabilities. It's hard to imagine that Podio folks actually use their own app beyond small, simple testing. It just doesn't work well in the real business world. Too cumbersome and too inefficient.

There are benefits to having a native app, whether it's an ipad, android, windows/desktop, etc option because the experience tends to be richer and faster, scaled in size to each device.
Many software companies are forced to create these before improving or enhancing their core products. We are all chomping at the bit for new features and fixes and some of us don't even need mobile apps, but this is a business reality for them that they can't ignore. But so are some of the core issues they need to tackle that the community forums and support requests are highlighting.

@Doug The benefits of building a native app over a web app are diminishing...and fast! With web 2.0 RIA, CSS and rich UI components, there is nothing a native iPad or Android or iOS app can do that a web app cannot do.

I use all three devices: desktop browser, iPad and Android phone and tablet. I also do development on all platforms except iOS. I can tell you developing an Android app is a frustrating experience because Google missed the boat with their API's. You have to decide what screen resolutions and sizes your app is going to support and then test test test. At least half of your development time will be in just testing your app on different virtual devices to make sure your screen objects scale and position as expected. You don't have this problem when developing for the iOS market so you can bring an iOS app to market faster.
Thus, I'd MUCH rather develop and FOCUS my company efforts (time and money) on a RIA (Rich Internet Application) web app. This strategy makes so much more sense: develop on a web platform and let it run on everything that uses a browser (yes, you will have to make code tweaks to support specific browsers but you're still using the same code base).
