I currently see no way to set a default appointment length in the Podio calendar. I am exporting to my Google account, and I have the default appointment length set to 90 min there. When Podio exports appointments from it's calendar, they still show up as having a 30 min appointment length...completely ignoring my set Google calendar default. The other problem is it exports to my Google calendar as me being "Available" instead of "Busy". If I set an appointment in Google Calendar directly, the automatic default is "Busy" and there is no way to set that default in Google Calendar to override. So again, Podio calendar export is ignoring Google Calendar defaults. I understand this is because Podio is pushing the data, and that overrides any settings I have in Google Calendar. This absolutely doesn't work, and it must be fixed. The only solution is to give us the options to set our own calendar defaults in Podio, which in turn will also be the same settings pushed in a calendar export.
I have seen a lot of people complaining about calendar issues going back 5+ years. Competitive CRM features are great, and always welcome, but since all business is done via a calendar within specific times....shouldn't the calendar features have been a good portion of your dev time? Without having adequate control over our schedules in Podio, and the ability to export those same controls, it really hinders our ability to effectively use Podio as you intend us to....and it hinders our ability to run our businesses using Podio frustration-free.
Please upgrade your calendar with default calendar settings described above. I'm sure many will appreciate this!
