There are limited items returned on the search within the Filter Dialog in Views, as well as the App Item Edit - Search Dialog, when trying to add an Item to an App Reference Field.

This means that a direct match for MT-001 may not come up in the Filter dialog because there are a moderate amount of items like MT-001-001, MT-001-002 , etc.
