Retrieve data from another app, with a IF statement, using calculations

Hi Guys 

I want to retrieve data from another app, with a IF statement, using calculations 

app1  = Customer visits

app2 = Log 

The Log should retrieve data from a specific field in Customer visits IF the name of the customer is the same as the field in in the customer name in the Log ( The log has a field with a customer name )

  Hi Sayed,
  question:
  1) Is there a relationship between the 2 apps via a relationship field either in Log (where items from Customer Visits are entered) or vice versa? 
  2) If there is a relationship: Are multiple Customer Visit items related to a Log item or always only 1 item?
