    And your going to be very unlikely to ever resolve the issue without some additional information.   How are your contacts coming into Podio?  Webform? API? Parsed email?

    The solution is probably to receive the contact data into Podio in an "intake" app first.  Then perform a search to see if the contact already exists in your main contact app.  If it does, then do nothing with the intake item. (Or delete it if you want) and if it doesn't exist, then (and only then) you can have podio create a proper contact record from the intake record (and then still delete the intake record if you want).


    If your using an API, then after you receive your payload, that is when you would perform a search to check for matching records and then create the record only if the search returns false.
