Transferring ex-employee information to new

    Thank you for contacting us here with your questions!

    So, you can remove a member from a paid organization through the User Management tool. This won't remove their comments / activities. They will be preserved.

    Our guide for this can be found here - Podio: How to remove a member (citrix.com)

    However, there isn't a way to transfer their old tasks etcetera to your new member.

    Indeed you can't transfer all tasks to a new member. What some of our customers do is make a user for a specific role, so switching employees is just a matter of resetting passwords. This also allows for someone else to take over the account when the employee is on holiday or ill. 

    To check where your ex-employee is still connected, e.g. unfinished tasks where replacing is really needed, perform a Podio search and filter by type. 
    If if this person is also involved in workflow automations (e.g. email address is used in a flow), you can check for any connection with QuivvyTools, which adds advanced search functionality to Podio search (read more about this here). We built this tool (full bias disclosure :-)) to help us manage complex Podio systems.

    My deepest apologies that we currently do not offer this feature in Podio. However, what I have done is to update our feature request list to include your comments and concerns with regard to it.

    It would be a good feature to be able to have an administrator re-assign these to a new member. 

    While we do not have an estimation as to when we would expect that to be rolled into the platform, I will definitely let our development team know that this is a feature that is greatly desired and would enhance your experience with Podio.
