Duplication of activity and comments in items sidebar

I've been experiencing the duplication of activity and comments for months (years?). 

There is absolutely a bug in the code. Podio seems to get confused and starts repeating activity and comments each time you make another change. The result us a very annoying duplication of items in the activity stream.

The problem seems to be exacerbated by slow links - ie in countries further away from the servers may see more problems.

I have had the techs confirm the issue exists, but it's apparently a low priority issue because they haven't received enough reports of the issue. When I searched I could not find other public reports of the issue so I thought I'd post this. If anyone else is experiencing this issue, PLEASE comment and we might be able to get it resolved.
