We are happy to announce a new improvement to all Gmail and G suite customers this week as we are bringing the old Google Task Add-on back to life, using a new framework from Google to offer even better integration with your e-mail.
You can install the new, improved task add-on here.
You can use the new add-on for Gmail to turn emails into actions and get work done faster. Open your email, click the Podio task add-on and we'll automatically convert your email content into a task in Podio. You will be able to define your own title, description and due date and hit "create task" to send the details into Podio. We also allow you to create your task in reference to existing workspaces or project items, this will ensure your work stays in context and makes it easy for co-workers to follow along.
This feature has been much requested from our customers in Support over the last 6 months - we hope you like it!

Hi Chris,
What kind of error do you get when installing? There is a setting about whether you allow your users to install add ons. You will need to whitelist this additionally as admin (this is the link to the setting: https://admin.google.com/AdminHome?fral=1#MarketplaceSettings:flyout=basic). If this does not work, please let us know in Podio Suppport and we'll assist via "Contact us". Thanks!
