    Hi Sally,

Thanks for sharing your feedback, appreciate your honest follow up.

We have been interviewing customers and testing the functionality with a beta group of customers prior to release. I am sorry we were not able to touch base with your team.

Would it be possible to use the table layout to save a view for more than 6 months in the past in order to view events in the past in your apps? Alternatively, I can recommend using export to Google or Outlook to view events here past 6 months in the future.

    Hi Sally,

I have just noticed this, it's a disaster for us too, are we no longer able to view data from events past 6 months?

I agree with Sally, our firm also must be able to go back well beyond 6-months to view sales related activities, etc.  I hope Podio can quickly fix this or we will have to move on to another platform.   Oddly enough, Podio used to allow us to view more than 6-months..

    Hi Anthony and David,

You can still view all data past 6 months in other views, like Table and Badge layout. Data will still be saved on Podio and will be available for filtering, reports etc. Hope this can help gain overview if you save a view in Table layout for data past 6 months?

Alternatively, I encourage you to start exporting events to calendars like Google, iCal and Outlook, here the data will stay in calendar view past 6 months following the retention policy of Google, Microsoft etc.

Thanks Sara for your reply, but why disable the option?

Unfortunately the change has made managing projects unnecessarily difficult.

A bit more background to why we made this change: Our team is dedicated and focused to improve the reliability and general performance of Podio. As a part of improving the architecture and reliability, we have been working to optimize the fastest growing area in Podio - the calendar events - a lot of the performance issues you might have seen with Podio over the last 12 months (slow responses etc), have been because of our very large calendar database.

We therefore had to make changes to the architecture to ensure a more scalable growth of the calendar architecture in Podio. Also, we have been interviewing and testing the 6 months window with a big part of our customer base, learning that the majority use the calendar view to see events in the current month, week and future.

    Hope this helps.
