Invoices and payments
I'm assessing Podio as an alternative CRM as we currently use too many fragmented systems with none really meeting our needs.
As I go through the list of features it seems there are no payment gateways built in. These are usually very easy to design and a dime a dozen on Wordpress plugins.
Is there a way within Podio to be able to send an invoice to a client with a "Pay Now" button on the invoice so they can pay via Stripe or other major payment provider? Then have the client's account within Podio show as "Paid" and the reports updated to show this. Our invoices are 1 time invoices for consulting services.
I don't want to have to subscribe to another service for a feature that is built in to most CRMs already as I'm trying to consolidate instead of fragment.
Any feedback or solutions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I do something like this today.
I use Podio to create and send invoices via email, and in the email I include a link to my PayPal.me page with a preset invoice amount that is populated into the payment field. Then I use Globiflow webhooks that are connected with my PayPal business account to notify me when payment comes in (which I can then apply to that client either manually or automatically).
I am not as familiar with Stripe (have only used it to get cc details via RightSignature docs created by Podio/Globiflow) but I imagine that you can do something similar with it.

Thanks for the comment Bill.
It's still an awkward work around and may not work with Stripe. It would be expected at this stage in the market that a simple payment and invoicing app was included that could easily be tagged on to Podio and then the user adds their Paypal or Stripe merchant details to accept the payment behind the scenes.

Your customer service is atrocious. I want to pay.
But first, is my data still there?
