Drastic words, but unfortunately only too true. I would love to see investment in Podio, but Citrix has been doing exactly nothing.

Podio is dead I’m afraid the team are only concerned with the amount of apps in use and couldn’t care a less about what users need or have requested for years. No community. No interaction. I don’t know what’s happening? It’s the weirdest thing. I switched to clickup a long time ago and only use podio for the bare minimum now, it’s a real shame that’s no one really invested in this app or it’s users.

    Hi Nick, Helge and Aydee,

Thanks for the feedback on the UX overhaul. We are very much aware and slowly getting there (you will see changes and new updates being applied to website, globiflow.com and podio.com in the next few months).

We are still very much here and listening. We have private communities available for both advanced workflow automation users (acquired by Citrix in 2017: https://www.globiflow.com/), Beta and partner network communities.

We recently launched new Podio based apps in Citrix Workspace to help users surface quick actions like survey, self-certifications and broadcasting news to improve the employee experience here as a part of the Citrix suite (https://investors.citrix.com/press-releases/press-release-details/2020/Citrix-Announces-Back-to-Office-Solution/default.aspx - solution described here which can be accomplished with Podio).

We'll get back to you soon with more news hopefully.

I really liked the concept of Podio and the sister product Sharefile. But, Podio wasn't touched for a year of use. All my frustrations with it were never addressed and still have not been. We switched to Nifty project management and I use Google Drive now. Citrix lost my several thousand a year account over this. I felt lied to that it was a product that being developed continually when it was just the opposite.

Thank you, Sara. I really hope to see some movement on the platform. The lack of development and unwillingness/disinterest in incorporating some basic features that users have been asking about for years has been disheartening. Podio used to be the best platform out there but dropped the ball.  I too have switched mostly to ClickUp, as they are releasing new features almost weekly, have an amazing active community, and have made it clear that they are here to stay. I had an opportunity to upgrade a large company to Podio recently, but lack of confidence in its future made me pull the plug. I believe Podio still has the best underlying foundation and hope it is given the attention it deserves and desperately needs before it’s too late. Your message is a glimmer of hope.

Thanks Steven, good to hear! I hope we can continue to show improvements in the next few weeks, months and years - we are here to stay.

I'm giving another couple of months, if there's not been some significant enhancements and long standing issues, which so many of are really basic, resolved I'm dropping the platform, so damn annoying as it one of the few that isn't obsessed with everything being a 'task'.

Seriously... my company has been using podio for almost 8 years and it looks EXACTLY the same since then.  I love globiflow and am really hesitant to switch since we've built up a lot of infrastructure using podio... but i'm staring to be concerned that it's only a matter of time before it gets abandoned by citrix (if it hasn't already) and we're investing in a dead platform.  Seriously... I can't even add a company logo or branding D:  That is bottom of the barrel functionality that podio is lacking.  I still can't remove former employees from chats (a feature 8 years in the making apparently)... I still have to 'login' as the employee, and remove them manually, and then log out and close the account.  Globiflow is amazing... can I use that without podio???  If yes, I'll switch to asana today.

We are preparing this behind the scenes :) Stay tuned. Lisa, Antony, please hang on a little bit longer.

If you're interested to join our private beta program and offer feedback on this type of improvement, please sign the Citrix NDA and contact our Support team with request to join: https://www.citrix.com/about/legal/nda.html

You can refer to this post as approved by Product Management to join our beta program.

Also, not really true about the 8 years with no UX overhaul, we have done many round of updates here along the way although structural foundation of Podio remains the same.

    Thanks!

Thing is Sara, the internet doesn't forget:

The interface is still pretty much identical to 2012. Plus the completed feature requests in this very forum show how stagnant the product is:

I remember the old interface, I was here in 2012 as well :) However since 2012 we did release new app builder, new fields, new reporting functionality, new dashboards/tiles, new card layouts, customizable cards, badges, relationship badges, workflow automation, calendar coloring, email integration, CMS feeds, PDF builder and signature integration and much more. 189 completed feature requests in 8 years - 24 per year, this could be worse but also better I admit. Today we released one that was loong overdue, the two-step verification: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360009916900-Two-Step-Verification-to-prevent-unauthorised-access-

Thanks for sharing and continue to push us to improve. We agree the UX overhaul is much needed as well.

Helge Klein glad to hear! Here is a sneak peak to how Podio fit into Citrix Workspace, most of the apps you see in this video is powered by Podio apps and workflow automation.

Don't like to be the one to revive old threads, though its only months not years on this occasion. I have been using Podio for 8 or 9 years now, and there is a lot I really like about it. But in agreement with the Original Poster, it has been extremely difficult to get clients on to it as its pretty damned ugly, therefore they think it is cheap and don't trust it. Integration wise raises some issues as well, and with Google Scripts and other Gsuite products, I am finding less and less use of Podio, though still paying for it, and Globiflow.

For me, I would love a quick desktop widget to sit there, and when I need to update or search its a quick click here and there, and the option to customise the workspace, or brand it, would make a massive difference as well.

Yep, unfortunatelly Podio is not evolving, it's abandoned. Few months ago I asked if Podio was shutting down or what, because our company relly on it and I'm very concerned. They said ther would be news and updates in the new year (2021) but guess what??? It's already May and nothing! We are really moving on to another platform.

Fernando Falcão there was an update from the Citrix team presented to Citrix Partners this afternoon, which is covered via the NDA that Sara Høeg Højlund-Rasmussen mentions in a comment above about how to join the beta programme and get access to early releases on Podio.  Sara perhaps you could update on recent events to the level you're able to publicly...?
