Create any new app item directly from Workspace home
Hi, I'd like to suggest a feature that would save us time. Right now when we are in our workspace, in order to create a new item from an app we need to click on the app icon, wait until it loads with all its items, and then choose "Create new item".
We'd save time (and energy) by having an option to get to the new item page of any app directly from the workspace page. This could be done for example by adding a specific context menu to all apps buttons, or by showing a little button next to each app (the button could for example show after 0,5 sec of mouse hovering over the app button)... basically anything would be good as long as I don't have to load this extra App homepage when I already know that I just want to create a new item.
thanks for considering !
Regards,
Nad

Two possible workarounds:
- Add a Tile to the WS home page to the given app, that gets you a "+ CREATE ITEM" at the bottom of the tile
- Use a text Tile + markdown, like : [>> CREATE NEW STUFF ITEM](https://podio.com/yourorg/yourworkspace/apps/yourstuffapp/items/new); here you can even use icons

Hi Nad,
Thank you for reaching out to us here!
I really like that idea, perhaps linked to the "wrench" icon of the application as drop-down menu choice to start. Let me add this as a feature request so that our team can take a look for possible implementation in the future.
Not sure if it's helpful, but once you are in the item creation page, the drop down arrow on the green button will allow you to create another or a duplicate.

Hi Nadège,
No worries!
Also, you can search for the app and use a keyboard shortcut to create new item, rather than going into the application.
To do so, when you've typed the name of the app where you'd like to add a new item, hit Shift + Enter on your keyboard to go straight to the item creator for that app.

Hope this helps you out some!
