Append text when updating text fields with Workflows

Is there any way to simply append a text field when sending input from another app's text field using workflows or any way to work around this? If  a user adds information to a field called "Work remaining" in a work order, I simply want that data to get added to a list on the associated (referenced app) project. Ideas?

  This isn't currently possible with Podio workflows, though it's possible with GlobiFlow, which is an extension offered on our Premium tier when you purchase 5 or more seats:
