API: Item comments don't match comments on item

I'm using the get item api. The item returned is missing a comment in the comments array. If i go to the item in podio, i see that there are 4 comments, but the api only gives me 3.

If i use the get comments api instead, i get the 4 comments. 
The missing comment was made using the api, but a second one made with the API is returned just fine.

The missing comment is also sandwiched between two other comments. So i know it is not a limit or date issue.

Is there anything i can do about this?

  they voted me down.

  It seems like this is not a question for stack overflow, but a problem with the API. Please let me know how i should proceed.

  Hi JD,

  I am not able to see the comments anymore unfortunately. If our engineers was not able to assist it might be a limitation we don't have a fix for just yet.

  Hey Jacqelyn,

  I don't think any Podio Engineer saw the post. The StackOverflow community closed down the post soon after i published it. It seems like i found an issue with the API itself, which i would need to report directly to Podio, not StackOverflow. 

  Is there a way to report buy/issues with the Podio API?
