The API Developer Forum is changing home!
Pinned FeaturedDear Developers,
in an effort to improve the support we provide to our developers community worldwide, we are going to move our API Developer support to StackOverflow and give you all the help you need over there, with the addition of the awesome community that lives on StackOverflow.
The questions already existing on our API Developer Forum will not be removed and will be available for consultation until they will become obsolete or not needed anymore, but you will not be able to create new posts on the forum anymore.
--------
For the one of you who are not familiar with StackOverflow, in their own words:
"Stack Overflow is a question and answer site for professional and enthusiast programmers. It's built and run by you as part of the Stack Exchange network of Q&A sites. With your help, we're working together to build a library of detailed answers to every question about programming."
How do I do it?
In order to ask a question on StackOverflow you will have to create a free account on http://stackoverflow.com/, if you don't already have one, and write a new post with:
- subject: briefly describing the issue you're encountering in using Podio's API
- description: go on about it and describe in details what is your problem, what have you tried and what specific help you'll need. You can even use markdown to format your questions!
- tags: in order for our team to find your questions it is very important that you tag your questions as podio (you may also add other relevant tags)
- Code of conduct: please review StackOverflow community guidelines before posting.
Always look it up first
The more question we have, the more likelihood that whatever you'll need has been asked (and answered before). Make use of StackOverflow's powerful search feature to find old questions that might fit your needs.
Please don't ask the same question twice.
Be specific and don't go out of scope
It is very important that all the questions directed towards API Developer support are exclusively on that topic. It was true for the "old" API Developer Forum, but it's even "more true" for StackOverflow where we will become part of a bigger developer community.Keep it tidy and organised, and it will be much easier for us to help you and for you to get the help you need.
Looking forward to meet you on the new platform!

Dear Domenico,
Hope you are doing well today. I know this is not a right place to post a question as you have moved to StackOverflow. But I'm posting here to show my frustration level that I've posted a question ALMOST every Podio forum including support, community StackOverlfow but unfortunately NO ONE has replied me with a solution. It is almost more than a week on a genuine Podio bug. The only reply I received that "Unfortunately, we are not able to help with API related questions from here"...is it a level of service being offered to customers?

Hi JD,
You can report a bug via StackOverflow as well if you see something weird.
Hi Ejaz,
I am sorry you haven't received the answer you are looking for fast enough. My colleagues Brian and Brad should have responded with advice to your issue.
Thank you for using the API and for helping us improve documentation!

My name is Mik. I work for the guy who owns the Podio workspace I'm working in. I've reached another impasse with Podio and the research time is eating my lunch. Webforms are inflexible and there is only one available per app. So, now I have to create another app with the internal hooks and then correct the triggers, OR I can learn JSON and it's support files to control the datafields on the website. I could do that, but a few complete and thoughtfully written examples would be amazing. I find snippets. Do you happen to have any complete examples laying around that I could model to put up a webform on an app that is already using that webform? I want to limit fields to various salespeople that get different input data into the same form.
-
Hi Mik,
unfortunately we don't have complete examples of how to use the API end-to-end to replace the webforms, and an app can only have 1 webform at the same time.
What you can do, is create your own HTML forms and then submit data through the API in order to create forms as custom as you want. The Webforms are meant to be a no-coding solution for easy data input.
I encourage you to reach out on StackOverflow if you have detailed questions.
Thanks,
Domenico

Recommendations
Looking for an API company or services that works with Podio, pulling in the homeowners property records information from public records, name, sales date, mortgage anything else that is on the property. like it does with Zillow for appraisal value.
Thank you all.
