a way to assign leads and then to have a task/checklist attached so that the appropriate team member can accept the task and log that they completed the task so that they are paid according to the task they completed.

  You can use the workflow tool for this:

  https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201194467-Automating-workflows 

  With this, you can automatically generate a list of tasks that are assigned to a team member anytime a lead is added to your app.

  link doesn't work. I'm trying to figure out how to automatically assign a new lead to all team members in order to alert them via email that there is a new lead.

  Not sure if this is still an issue for you, but you can use this link - Using apps – Podio Help Centre and then navigate to Workflows in Podio form the list presented.
