Reference ID Generator

Often customers have a set format for the unique ID of a new record, whether it' identifies an invoice, an application, or a person.

A feature I would like to see is a field type that cannot be edited, but is generated automatically when the record is created.

The for at specification string could be such as AAAA-YYDDD to get four random capitals letters followed by the year and day (1-365)

or MM-DD-999 to generate the month and day number followed by a random (unique) three digit number,

or MM-DD-SSS to generate the unique numbers sequentially.

Of course there are unique Podio record identifiers, but, as I said, there is often an established convention for these things.
