Adobe AEM DAM Workflow connectivity

Was wondering if anyone has made a connection using the Adobe AEM API to the AEM DAM production workflows. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

• Have you tried?
• Have you Succeeded?
• Could you point me in the right direction to investigate the possibility?
