How to recover deleted phones field from a template?

Hi there.
I field with phones from contacts application is suddenly missing when you click to create a new contact and for some 7-8 old contacts. Other then that the rest of the contacts have that field and the info is there.
I assume that the field was somehow deleted just recently or this is a glitch( i hope).
I followed the suggestions below to recover, however all the phone infos are missing on the excel sheet at this point of time.

Please suggest other ways to recover as we have actually lost the most important information we had.
I will appreciate your help.
