API Get item count with filter?

Can someone tell me how to use the "Get item count" API with a filter?
https://developers.podio.com/doc/items/get-item-count-34819997
I just need the number of items that have a field that matches a certain value.

  Hi JD,

  The documentation was incomplete. I have updated it now, take a look. It works the same way as Get Items.
