Relationship Notes

I have a relationship to a notes app. When I begin to enter a new note in, it shows me all other previous notes ... then at bottom of notes, I'm given option of "create new item"

Question: can I now have previous notes populate? or Can "create new item" be at top of list instead of bottom?

  Hey Ed,

  If you want to populate the item with same content you could potentially clone the notes (click actions, then clone item)? If you share a bit more details I might be able to advise you further :)

  "Create new item" is currently designed for the bottom of the list but I will share your idea about moving this to the top of the dropdown, thanks for sharing.

  Hi Ed,

  did you solve this problem?

  When I know that I do not need to select from old relationship items (i.e I know I'm just creating a new item) I set a filter to filter out all existing items.

  For example, if you have a date field in the relationship app you could create a filter for Date=Custom Date where custom= 01/01/1900 or some date that is not in your data. 

  Save the Filter with a name like Filter

  Then in the app where you set the Realationship, modify the template, choos APP for the relationshop field, and click on the pencil icon to set the filter= Filter, save the template

  Now when you cick on Add/remove item you will only see the filtered list which will be a blank list
