Is there a way to auto-merge (or even manually merge) duplicate entries?

We post a lot of job openings on our site and sometimes one person will apply for several positions. The data comes into Podio via the webform, but we get duplicate entries. Is there a way to have Podio recognize the submission as a duplicate (perhaps by the email or phone fields) and merge the two entries? If not, is there a way to easily merge them manually (aside from doing a search for duplicates and cross-checking every field - which is tedious and time-consuming)?

  Hi Josh,

  no, there is no way to easily find and merge duplicates in Podio. For this many users (me too) use the Podio extension GlobiFLow, which helps to automatically find duplicates (it can check every new item if there is already an existing one with the same data adn can assigns tasks to check them or to flag them as duplicates). If you can define safe rules how these duplicates can be merged, Globilfow can also merge them automatically.

  Can GlobiFlow also find duplicates in the contact field sub-app?

  Hello Anthony,

  no, cause it isn't an app (I assume you mean "workspace contacts"). We never use the contact field subsection "workspace contacts" but a central contact app, which can be used in evey workspace.

  Fairly old thread but wondering if this is possible. If I use Podio to aggregate helpdesk tickets, if there is a way for me to merge two items together and trigger an external helpdesk to do the same, or the other way around.
