Card Layout -or- "Task" View
I've sifted through the help section and I know you've answered posts regarding tasks repetitively. I know that the task element is meant for simple tasks. The apps are where the power is at - completed get that (and happen to agree).
The best way to integrate tasks through an app would be using the Card Layout. The #1 reason is the drag and drop functionality.
A few options that would make this the perfect task-ready app:
- Allow add additional information in the card itself (Due Date, related project, whatever...)
- The ability to add filters on this that include ALL past dates + the current day. (Currently, you can only do one or the other)
- Ability to have columns by date.
I don't want to go back to using tasks when you can't do advanced reporting and other cool features the app have built in.
It's the #1 limitation to Podio (in my opinion right now).
Outside of that, Podio is insanely amazing.
This is really great feedback and I've passed it right on to the team and added your votes on this. Hopefully we can do some tweaks on some of these things in the future. I'll make sure to get back to you here to let you know about any updates on it.
