Calculating distance from our headquarters

We have an app for business meetings with clients. The items have, among others, fields for location, time spent and distance traveled, which are filled by our consultants manually. Is it possible to use the calculation field for automatic calculation of the distance traveled based on our headquarters address and the clients location? It would save a lot of time and prevented a lot of mistakes.

  Hi Tomas,

  you would need some sort of external service to do the distance calculation. However, since the calculations fields cannot directly connect to external services, I don't think this is possible. You would either need to find a web-service that allows you to specify the two locations in the URL and return an image (!) with the distance (which is so esoteric, I don't believe there is one out there), or you would have to create a custom integration using the Podio API that does the calculation for you on an external server and writes the result back to Podio. So, in principal it's possible. ;)
