Read Only Fields

I would like some fields in an app to be read only. If a staff member is level 1 then they can edit say 5 items in a form but only staff with level 2 clearance can edit the remaining fields in the form/app.

How do I do this?

  Hi Kevin,
  I also just voted for readonly fields, but if I get you right you are more of asking for role based permissions to fields?

  Hi Andreas, that's correct. I can make the whole item in the app read only but I would like (as an example) all employees to be able to edit the first 5 fields and then the employees supervisor can sign off in field 6 while only the payroll officer can complete field 7.
