How can I pull financial data from an Excel Spreadsheet to existing Items in a Podio App?

Good afternoon to all,

I respectfully request your expert advice.

I need to automate report creation and distribution (to a Sharefile.com folder).

To do so:

1. I need to pull data from an Excel spreadsheet into existing items in a Podio App Into unique, money fields.
2. My second step would be to create the report with Globiflow, PDF it, push it to Sharefile.

But, my main concern now is the first step: "how can I pull financial data from an Excel Spreadsheet to existing Items in a Podio App?"

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

  P.S. I am not referring to importing complete records as new items in a Podio app, but rather to plug in values from spreadsheet cells into fields of existing items.

  Hi Armando,

  you can use the Excel-import to update item fields. In the third step of the import "Duplication handling" you must simply specify which fields Podio should use to uniquely identify items. If you do that right, your import will update your existing items. (Best try it on a copy of your original app first. ;))
