Not at this point, you'll need to delete them one by one.

If you use an app for tasks you can delete all via the bulk delete functionality in table layout :)

    Thanks for sharing your idea!

Essential. Must have or Podio will become useless over time.

Podio Tasks function sucks big time.  It either needs to be fixed or removed altogether.

    Hi Jack,

Perhaps you could provide some more constructive feedback if there are changes you'd like to see for tasks? We don't really hear many complaints about tasks (and so far there are only two people voting for the suggestion in this thread). In general we find people are happy with the current task functionality but if there are improvements you'd like to see, we are always open to honest and constructive feedback :)

    Hi Jacquelyn,

For one, they should be able to be deleted. That would be a start.  I love Podio and think it's an amazing product, but I can't imagine that anyone could be using the tasks feature as it is now. Not quite sure I understand how there could be no option to batch-delete tasks, and the fact that Podio itself recommends creating an App item to manage tasks rather than using the task functionality is a testament to that.

The tasks function is missing the most basic standard features that make tasks functions useful, for example: nesting and subtasks, deleting or archiving. Without those basic functions, I don't see how it could function as an effective task manager, and we have had to manage tasks outside of Podio, which is a shame.

My guess is the lack of complaints about tasks might come from people just not using it, but that's just conjecture.

All in all, I am a big champion for Podio and got it adopted by my company, but this is one of a few deficiencies that I believe really holds it back from it's full potential, the others being related to calendaring and scheduling (e.g. Gantt chart functionality and better syncing with established outside calendars).

    Thanks!

Thanks Jack, this is great feedback. I tend to find that the biggest issue is communicating when to use Podio tasks vs. using a task app. When tasks were originally designed for Podio, the idea was that these would be used only for quick to-do's. Anything more complex than that would be handled in an app instead since these offer way more customization and overall features.

As an example, personally I will only use Podio tasks for small things I want to be reminded about, such as "review this documentation" or "follow up with this customer". Basically anything that I need to handle myself that doesn't require many written details and doesn't require collaboration with any of my colleagues. I like using Podio tasks for these because I can make them super quickly and it's all very lightweight, perfect for just a quick reminder.

Not having bulk delete on tasks is definitely an annoyance and something I'd love to see added in eventually (no current plans at the moment though).

I'm curious, have you tried using an app for tasks? It sounds like this could be a good option for you since this would give you the subtask, deleting and archiving options you described.  I am wondering if there is something about using an app that doesn't work for you.

I'd really love a way to archive tasks!  We want to keep a history of work completed but don't want them all listed at the top of our To-Do list.

    Hi Lydia,

Thanks for the suggestion and I'll be sure to provide you with an update if "Task Archiving" becomes available within Podio. As of now, you could use an Action app and archive the app items (task). I've attached a link below that will provide you with further information in regards to archiving app items.

Love Podio and have been using if for 4 years now for our company. Something I would love to be able to do is hide completed tasks on an item so just the ones left to work on show... for example here. Such a useful feature - hoping it's a quick update... https://www.useloom.com/share/566c7b89cbc847ce96a9400e8b0e86a8

Yes, Please add the option to delete or archive completed tasks outside of an app, this would make podio even more amazing!

For example we use Podio for property management.  We have an app for properties and then each property we manage has an item.  We use tasking to assign activities to our team including globiflow workflows for many routine activities.

The items are becoming large and oversized requiring lots of scrolling since we have no way to hide the completed tasks from the item.  Creating a separate app for tasks would not help us based on our need for tasking with our set up.

We really need this functionality to clean up these items and make the user experience much easier and simpler.

We're seriously hampered by not being able to hide completed tasks. Could be leaving Podio as a result.

So, occasionally I can enter a Task. Typically if I try to enter a task in an upcoming month - it simply freezes up. As a contact management software that does not allow me to manage contacts - it is fairly useless.
