Imaging the following:
I have one app - Projects - where I enter the main info for all my projects. In addition, I want a field/a list with costs linked to each project. Theses costs will be added from another app - Resources - where rates/prices are entered.
As long as I pick a resource in the Projects app, I want the specific cost/price to show in the Projects app.
For instance, the list of resources is a list of people with their own defined rate per day. If I pick two of these guys for my project, for 3 days, I would like to have the calculated sum to show:
Person 1 - 100$ x 3 days = 300$
Person 2 - 125$ x 3 days=375$
Total 675$ in a calculated field or in a list of costs in the Project app.
I have tried to establish relations and calculations across these apps (or tables as I view them...) but can't get it to work.
Any guess where I might go wrong? Maybe I'm trying to achieve something that's not possible?
