API is not firing the visual update of modified values through the API

If something from the API updates a field in a page that we are looking at
the page is not refreshing with the new value from the api.

You can see below in the link to this image below that I set the value to ON HOLD and
then the API set the value to Not Interested...

BUT

The page did not refresh. Now I am sure this can be done as it does refresh
if you upload a new photo in the iphone app. It magically appears. I think
if someone else updates the same app item the value will change in front of
your eyes.

I am wondering why the API does not fire the code that refreshes the value in the frontend.
The activity stream is refreshed but the value is not.

  Does the Podio UI update if you have your API integration wait a couple of seconds before updating the item?
