    Hi Donna,

Once an item has been deleted you can no longer get it. You will have to store a copy of the references on your end.

Andreas, this seems to be an extremely common question in these forums, one that I have also asked in the past. Are there any plans to implement a feature such as this, e.g. making the deleted item available to the API for a short time so that hook scripts can access it? The delete hooks are not very useful without the item details available.

    Hi Jonathan,

We don't have any plans along those lines. It's not a common issue and it can be overcome by caching any references ahead of time.

    Hi Andreas,

I'm not sure what you mean by catching references ahead of time. If you have to store information outside of Podio then it sort of defeats the purpose.

    Hi Andreas,

I also think that returning the item you have deleted shouldn't be too difficult to do from the Podio side whereas to do it from the developer's end requires definitely a lot more work and space.

Hello is there any update on this topic? thanks. Looking to delete an item in a database whenever it's happenning in Podio. I thought using a webhook would be the best option but the output does not allow to find the item that has been deleted.
