Data integrity - avoid double entries

In order to ensure that users don't enter entries twice (within the same app (most logical) or same workspace, or potentially even in Podio in general?), one could think of Podio notifying the user of the same entry (or similar entries) already existing. The way this could work:
1) When creating an app field, one could optionally check "Search for duplicate entries"
- either the duplicate search is limited to the same filed in the same app, in which case no further action required
- or the user can define another app (or potentially even a field in another app) that Podio should serach in
2) When a user fills in such a field, he gets a notification that an entry with the same name (or a similar name?) already exists, with the option to continue entering data, or going to the already existing entry

  This is important topic and most critical!!!! Podio is great, but this is something that seems like should be offered a primary or secondary key field!

  Has any more thought been put into this by the Podio team? Having some way to either prevent duplicate entries or easily show them, maybe as a filter option, so they can be deleted by an admin. Having duplicates really throws off the data that we are using to Podio to understand.

  @Francisco Javier Romero Valdés, if you import via excel or use the API this is possible. For manual entry you need to search in the app before entering a new customer or use a new Contact app.

  In the contact app format the "organisation field" will automatically check for duplicates when typing a new company name:

  An alternative would be to have fields that do not allow duplicates. Ex: Properties are assigned parcel numbers in their counties in the US. At the field level in Podio, it would be easy to check/uncheck a box allowing duplicates or not.
